Condition:

Lovely clean RP with strong detail in the hotel façade and the vintage motor car. No creases or tears, and edges are tidy. A touch of general age toning as expected for Sweetman cards of this period, but the image itself is crisp and contrasty.

A superb early real-photo postcard of the long-lost Blackgang Hotel, complete with period car, signage, and crisp architectural detail. Sweetman’s Sunshine Series captured a number of Isle of Wight landmarks, but hotel cards — especially demolished or rebuilt sites — are scarcer and highly collectable. A proper IOW gem.
