Superb contrast and depth. Beautiful sepia tones and crisp detail throughout – you can see everything from the smoke rising through the trees to clothing textures and the wagon siding. Light age speckling on reverse only. Front is clean, sharp, and extremely displayable.

A hauntingly beautiful real photo postcard capturing a travelling Gypsy (Romani) wagon encampment deep in the New Forest. A remarkable social-history image showing people gathered around canvas shelters, a horse-drawn vardó, domestic life, and woodland surroundings.
