Description:
Original vintage Finnish promotional matchbook sleeve advertising KONE, the industrial engineering company that would later become a global leader in lifts and escalators.

The artwork is pure mid-century Nordic modernism — a stylised industrial scene suggesting cranes, lifting equipment, and heavy machinery, combined with bold safety-sign iconography and a striking teal colour field. It feels closer to a design poster than disposable advertising.

Printed by Mainostikku Hamina, this sleeve was produced at a time when Finnish industry sold itself on precision, strength, and modern engineering. Everyday items like matchbooks became miniature canvases for serious graphic design.

A standout piece of industrial history, modernist design, and Finnish engineering heritage.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. Light age-related wear only. Colours remain strong and the print is crisp with no major tears or damage.
