Description:
Original vintage Loewe Opta promotional matchbook sleeve advertising television and radio equipment for the Finnish market.

Loewe Opta was a premium German electronics manufacturer, best known for high-quality radios and early televisions during the post-war boom. This sleeve captures the moment TV shifted from novelty to household centrepiece, using a simple CRT television illustration on the front and a charming mascot on the reverse labelled “elektroniikan tohtori” (Doctor of Electronics), signalling expertise, trust, and modern technical know-how.

These sleeves were typically handed out by dealers and repair shops, reinforcing the idea that television was something to be explained, serviced, and respected — not just bought off the shelf.

Printed by Mainostikku Hamina, this is a strong example of early consumer electronics advertising, blending optimism, authority, and mid-century graphic restraint.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. Light age-related wear consistent with use and storage. Print remains clear with no major tears or damage.
