Description:
Original vintage Miranol paint promotional matchbook sleeve produced by Tikkurilan Oy, Finland’s most iconic paint manufacturer.

The design cleverly mimics a Miranol paint tin, using strong geometric shapes and vivid colour blocking to create a striking shelf-ready piece of mid-century commercial art. Text reads “Synteettinen alkydi-emali” (synthetic alkyd enamel), positioning Miranol as a modern, durable paint for serious use.

The reverse lists regional offices and sales representatives across Finland and Sweden, complete with period telephone numbers — a brilliant snapshot of post-war industrial expansion.

Printed by Mainostikku Hamina, this sleeve was designed to be used and discarded. Surviving examples are increasingly scarce.

A standout piece of industrial design, graphic art, and Nordic commercial history.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. Light age-related wear only. Colours remain vibrant with no major tears or damage.
