A superb original snapshot album featuring twelve real photographic views of the New Forest, published by The Photochrom Co. Ltd. and sold as a complete set for one shilling at the time.

This album captures the Forest exactly as it should be remembered — quiet lanes, deep woodland, open heath, forest ponies, rural cottages, rivers, and unspoilt tracks, all photographed with an unfiltered, documentary feel that postcards rarely manage.

Unlike later tourist cards, these images feel lived-in and honest. You get log rolling scenes, woodland avenues, riverside views, ponies under ancient trees, thatched cottages, and winding roads disappearing into the distance — proper New Forest atmosphere, long before signage, cars, or crowds took over.
