🟫 Material: Composite / Fibre

Honest wartime wear with clear repeating text on both sides. The octagonal shape remains well-defined, and the fibre surface is intact with no cracks or major chips. A solid example of a scarce field-use NAAFI token.
Description:
An original WWII NAAFI composite canteen token, issued in ½ Franc denomination for use by British forces operating in liberated France toward the end of the war. Manufactured from fibre for light weight and durability, these tokens were used in military canteens, mess halls, and welfare centres in place of currency.
The octagonal shape and French-denominated value make this a much scarcer type compared to the common British penny-value NAAFI tokens. Highly collectible among military enthusiasts, WWII researchers, and token collectors alike.
